Release of Mobile Application for Breast Augmentation Recovery Patients

Otto J Placik, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon of Breast Enlargement Chicago, announced the release of the new mobile application designed for plastic surgery patients following breast augmentation or implant surgery. This free mobile application titled the "Placik Protocol" is currently available in the App Store and is available for download for the iPhone, iPad and Android. Dr. Otto J. Placik brings his decades of plastic and cosmetic surgery experience to a mobile application that provides both visual instruction and guidance in performing post breast augmentation mammoplasty exercises.

Risk Associated with Breast Implants

A recent study shows that breast implants can delay cancer detection. The study points to the facts that it is more difficult to perform a mammogram on a woman who has breast implants, and that the actual placement of the implants can make reading the mammogram a challenge as reasons why women who undergo breast augmentation may not have the ability to detect breast cancer in its earlier stages. Dr. Jennifer Hein of Women's Institute of Cosmetic & Laser Surgery urges women who are thinking about having breast augmentation performed to talk to their surgeons regarding the risks that they will face before, during, and after the surgery.
